Watch Ken Block Tear Through The Univeral Studios Backlots In His Ford Fiesta

Rally car racer (and co-founder of DC Shoes) Ken Block never ceases to amaze me, and his latest video in the Gymkhana series is no exception. For those who are unfamiliar, Gymkhana is an automotive sport that features crazy stunt driving mixed with drifting and tons of high speeds. The first 3 videos in the series have millions upon millions of views, and after watching just one of these, it’s easy to understand why.

Block’s driving skills are out of this world, and in the latest video he takes his fully-custom Ford Fiesta through the backlots of Universal Studios. Watch him fly by the infamous Bates Hotel, trams, the Jaws set, and even the Epic Meal Time guys make a cameo in it.

“Filmed over the course of five days, director Ben Conrad (Zombieland and 30 Seconds or Less) and his team at Logan deliver a Hollywood caliber production complete with pyrotechnics, massive stunts and a series of unbelievable tricks. Featuring robotic sharks, deranged zombies, and a hilarious cameo by the Epic Meal Time guys, Ken Block and his Hybrid FunctionHoon Vehicle (H.F.H.V.) bring the magic of Hollywood and gymkhana together.”

Chris Gonzales Suffers The Ink And Joins The Western Division Army

Going to school a few thousand miles away in Des Moines, Iowa can make you homesick. Especially when you're from Cali. That's just what happened to Chris Gonzales.

At first Chris underwent some Anaheim Angels ink but that just wasn't enough. When Chris came found the Western Division "W" logo he jumped at the chance to show off his West Coast pride, permanently.

[Read] Hypebeast Interview With LRG Co-Founder Jonas Bevacqua

LRG Co-Founder Jonas Bevacqua // Photo: Hypebeast

In a recent interview with Hypebeast, LRG Co-Founder and Creative Director Jonas Bevacqua discusses what it was like growing up in Long Beach and Laguna Beach, how the brand has grown throughout the year, why they support independent music and some of LRG's greatest achievements.

It's a pretty insightful look into a popular clothing line and how it helped spawn the creation of several other up and coming companies, especially those that look to bridge the gaps between different cliques.

[Gallery & Review] The Big 4 Festival With Metallica, Slayer, Megadeth & Anthrax

Metallica at The Big 4 Festival

The Big 4 Festival, featuring the heavy-metal arsenal of Metallica, Slayer, Megadeth and Anthrax, hit the Empire Polo Fields in Indio on April 23rd. Taking place the week after Coachella, the small desert town was once again invaded by hoards of people, this time clad in black shirts and jeans.

Anthrax started the day off to a fairly large group of eager fans who braved the desert sun. People were just stoked to have the show kicked off and it was really high energy. Megadeth followed and had a good number of people singing along with them.

Slayer had a huge ovation as the crowds continued to pour into the massive venue. An estimated 60,000 tickets were sold for this event, and it felt like most of those people showed up. Slayers set was awesome as usual, and when Metallica came out I thought the whole place was going to erupt. Bodies surfing, dudes moshing, and tons of people singing along to almost every word of every song Metallica played. They did a good job of playing several older songs, and at the end of the set all 4 bands came out and played a cover of Diamond Head's "Am I Evil."

Rise Against

Last Thursday, the Endgame Tour featuring Rise Against, So Cal punk veterans Bad Religion, and Four Year Strong came to the Long Beach Arena with special guests The Descendents, who were playing their first show in 10 years. I wasn't able to get pictures of Four Year Strong, but there are plenty from the other 3 bands. I also snapped some pics of the Meatless BBQ with Rise Against and Bad Religion.
